Ms. Louise Anne M. Salas, Research Fellow at the University of Aucklandβs Public Policy Institute and founding member of the Philippine Studies Network Aotearoa New Zealand, will explore how contemporary Filipina and wΔhine MΔori artists navigate intersections of culture, identity, and place and how their work translates these experiences into powerful visual and conceptual forms.
Dr. Maileenita Penalba, Director of the Cordillera Studies Center at the University of the Philippines Baguio and fellow founding member of the Philippine Studies Network Aotearoa New Zealand, will offer a critical response, deepening the conversation on these transnational artistic dialogues.
