Temporary Suspension of Consular Operations Due to COVID-19 Pandemic JSD-2020-13

In compliance with the declaration of the New Zealand Government on 23 March 2020 to control the further spread of COVID-19 pursuant to the hoisting of Alert Level 3 – Restrict effective immediately and the raising of Alert Level 4 – Eliminate within 48 hours for a period of four (4) weeks, the Philippine Embassy in New Zealand will temporarily suspend its consular operations effective Tuesday, 24 March 2020, until further notice.

Those with previously booked appointments at the Embassy are effectively CANCELLED. Kindly postpone your travel to Wellington and wait for further announcements. During this period of suspension, you may reach the Embassy through the following:

We ask for your kind consideration not to use the emergency mobile number for following up on your passport dispatch or other consular-related inquiries which may be communicated by email or Facebook Messenger, to ensure that Filipinos in distress in need of urgent assistance can easily get through.

Our kababayans are highly encouraged to stay at home, avoid crowds and non- essential activities around your communities and congregations, as well as to postpone non-essential domestic travel.
