Request for Passport Extensions JSD-2020-25
Further to the Embassy’s Advisory No. JSD-2020-24 on 12 May 2020 on the cancellation of its mobile consular outreach missions for this year, the Embassy has received requests for the extension of the validity of their ePassports for various reasons.
The Embassy understands that the prevailing travel restrictions in the Pacific Island Countries under our jurisdiction as well as the cost of travel and accommodation in Wellington prove to be a burden to most of our kababayans.
Pursuant to the authority issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy may extend the validity of ePassports of the Filipinos in the following countries:
Country | Extension Validity | Fee |
---|---|---|
New Zealand | One (1) year | NZD 43.75 |
Cook Islands, Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, French Polynesia, Niue | Two (2) years* | NZD 43.75 |
*Due to the travel restrictions to New Zealand and vice versa
For our kababayans in New Zealand, Cook Islands, Tonga, Samoa, French Polynesia and Niue, kindly accomplish and sign the Request for Extension of Passport Validity Form and submit along with your ePassport, and a self-addressed, signature-required courier bag to the following address:
50 Hobson Street, Thorndon,
Wellington, New Zealand 6011
For our kababayans in Fiji, you may accomplish and sign the Request for Extension of Passport Validity Form and submit this along with your ePassport, and a self-addressed courier bag to the following address:
Nasese Medical Centre,
62 Sukuna Rd, Suva
Please note that personal appearance is required, unless local conditions prevent the applicant from travelling to the Embassy. Make sure that all your documents are complete and include your self-addressed courier bag with your submission before you send via snail mail.
- You may download the form here.
- Payment Notice will be sent via email after the assessment of your application by the officer-in-charge.
Please take into consideration the processing time and possible courier delays with your submission. Alternatively, you may check the tracking number of your document with NZ Post or with your appointed courier service (Pacific Island Countries only).
