Further to our statement dated 20 December 2011, the Philippine Embassy would like to thank the members of the Filipino community who have responded to the call/appeal for donations to help alleviate the suffering of thousands of our “kababayan’s” affected by the devastating typhoon “Sendong” in Mindanao and the Visayas.

2) GMA 7 Kapuso Foundation
The GMA Kapuso Foundation said that it is currently conducting
Operation Bayanihan: Relief Operation Damayan for the victims of
Typhoon Sendong in Iligan City and Cagayan De Oro City.
The foundation said they are still accepting donations for the victims but
that cash donations are preferred because the repacking of relief goods
is being done in the affected areas.
Cash donations may be donated to any branch of UCPB, Metrobank and Cebuana Lhuiller. Service fees will be waived if the cash proceeds are
deposited to the foundation.
